closer to God by faith, not by deeds
As a servant of Christ, we should not seek to please man, as in doing good for the leaders' approval, but friends' approval etc. rather, we should always try to please God, to give every sacrifice by faith, just like what Abel did. vs 10 God's heart reaches out to the poor. vs 20 christ is the one who lives in me, his power acting in me, his presence in me speaks to me to surrender my will unto him, and let him reign and take control of my life. This body that I am living in, I should live by faith in Jesus, believing that christ is taking care of me well because he has loved me and has shown this by giving himself up for me; his riches, his kingship, his glory and his throne for me. by this love i know that i am secure. vs 29 the promise of blessing given to Abraham.
