Wow... who knew Mary was a psalmist right? What a beautiful exclamation of praise to God. What's interesting is that this took faith. She hadn't had this baby yet. SHe hadn't seen the cool things Jesus did. She'd yet to meet Him. But she knew what was in her was special. And maybe John jumping in Elizabeth sealed the deal- wow, this really is special. I find the whole song so humble- just a humble answer to being chosen by God. These days doing things for God has almost become this chore- "Ugh, gotta follow Jesus." Instead of a joy. This kind of worship should always be on our lips- for the very same reason mary had- "Wow, You picked ME? Little ole me. Thank you. My heart is full."
