Like lambs among wolves- hard to remember that sometimes. We've been sent to gather workers, show them Christ...but this crowd may not be won over so easily. Probably not in fact. They may even look at us as though we're the enemy or prey even! But our command is to walk in humilty, without fear and shake off any rejection we may meet- afterall, it's not us they're rejecting it's Christ. It's just so funny how we as Christians forget all of this. We look to fit in, to be like those we minister to, to be accepted and to gain their approval. Not the goal. God, help me to remember this- that this life is not about being like, or popularity or anything like that. we have work to do! However, if we are to be lambs, then we walk in a humility that doesn't seek to offend. We're not always looking to be right- we can't take this message to the masses in arrogance. They won't hear us if we do that. We don't seek to offend- we're selfless, putting others first always. Our needs aren't priority- ouch. We can't be attached to what the world has to offer- none of it! In other words, we need to be heard but not obnoxious!
