You know more about me than I knowe myself. You know every thought, every motive...I couldn't run if I wanted to, there's no where to go that you can't see. You made me, You formed me...you know all I've done and all I will do. Nothing is a secret from you. I love that after acknowledging all of these things, the writer still asks God to search him and test him. Why would He need to if all that he just said is true? I think He's yielding himself completely to God. This to me is the picture of a teachable heart. Not just knowing that God sees all and knows all but saying God, You can have your way here- test me and check out every place- go in the back closets and rummage through the drawers. It's a willingness I think- a yielded heart. God I already know that you see and know everything, but I want to be like David and truly yield myself to you.
