(Focus verse = Matthew 17:1-5)

I find myself in this position all the time. This very idea is what God has been working in me.

"IT'S NOT ABOUT YOUR ACTIONS, JARED!"

"WORSHIP IS NOT BY ACTIONS! WORSHIP IS NOT BY WORK!"

I keep trying too hard to push and worship God with actions. But when I do, I tend to take the focus on God away. Scripture does not say, "God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship with actions." No, Scripture says (in Luke 4):

God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.

- Don't push to worship Him with your body and in turn abandon worshiping him in spirit. That's where I eventually caught myself.

No, sit down. Look up to Him and pray. Look up to the one who took the sins of the world upon Him. Look up to the one who created the foundations of the earth. Look up to the one who has decided to live inside you and say, "Wow..." Then listen.

That is worship.
