Rhetorical question. Wisdom calls to those who have conformable hearts. But it doesn't call to those any longer who have cultivated lives of stubbornness and selfishness. Those, as Paul says, have hearts that gradually become seared, as with a hot iron. Wisdom call those who have open ears and hungry hearts.
