Knowing God- We all want to experience the power of His resurrection. Nothing wrong with that. We sing a song at our church that stirs me every time- "The same power that conquered the grave lives in me..." If only we walked in it! We need the power of His resurrection- it changed everythign for us. And how awesome that we can access it, and in doing so, know God. But often, we only want the good stuff- the miracles, the platform, the influence. But truly knowing God doesn't just consist of this- we join Him in suffering conforming ourselves to His death. That part doesn't seem as appealing. But it is part of truly knowing Him. And how amazing is it that even suffering is worth it-more than worth it- because we gain Jesus, we GET know Him.
