Splinters Hurt... and so do cinders!
I'm not sure how to read into this or not, but I find it interesting that God wanted the Israelites to drive everyone out so the could "make yourself at home in it" vs. 53. But if they didn't drive everyone out, they would become a pain and He would treat the Israelites as He would them.
What things are in our lives that God has directed us to "drive out" and because of our disobedience, they have become like a cinder in our eye and splinter in our foot? And we wonder sometimes why we go through what we go through and cycle through things over and over again... struggling.
God show me the splinters and cinders that I haven't removed and help me drive them out and be obedient.
