Extravagant Love
Read this verse (Eph 5:2) from the Message Version
Christ's love was not cautious, but extravagant. wow. I need to remember that and follow a life of love simply as a Christ follower. Not a cautious love, but loving others extravagantly,as Christ has loved me.
Jesus, please help me to learn extravagant love, just like you. Help me to understand fully what that entails. Change, shape, and mold my heart so that I can become like you in all ways. Let your love take over my heart so that I can from there learn (with baby steps) how to pour that same love out onto others. God, you know that I cant do it on my own. I'm hopeless, but with you...I'm a better person. I can do ALL things through Christ who strengthens me. However, on my own, I'm nothing but a wreck. Be with me God. Apply this word to my heart. Shower me with your extravagant love.
