So in Romans 5:20, we're told that where sin increases, so does grace. And I think a lot of people look at that verse and see it as a great opportunity. It would be very easy to take this verse out of context, and just sin more since God will always forgive us. Is that how we are supposed to live? Paul's got the answer - jump down to Romans 6 verses 1-4. Since Jesus died, we died to our sinful nature. Sure, we're going to mess up, but since we have been baptized into His death, we have the ability to live a new life! To no longer walk in sin, to NOT take advantage of the grace God offers to us, but to try our best to walk in a life that pleases Him, as verse 13 says, as instruments of His righteousness. Like these verses say, if we acknowledge that we have DIED with Christ, we must also acknowledge that we have RISEN with Him too!
