Thank you Lord for seeing us beyond our stupidity! It's a good thing God sees who we WILL be, who we COULD be, who we CAN be instead of the rebellious suckers we were before He called us out. I love hearing testimonies form folks who when describing their lives before Jesus sound like they are talking about a completely different person. They are! It's just amazing to see what God can do with someone- anyone- who chooses to follow Christ. The very things that disqualify us, that count us out, the things that we did that we're so ashamed of...He gives beauty for ashes and turns the worst in us into a testimony of freedom and forgiveness. Only God can do that! Saul, a persecutor of the church, an evil man becomes one of the most powerful men, most devout followers of Jesus the world will ever see. He even guides us now with the words he wrote so many years ago. The lasting impact of one life is phenomenal...even moreso is that this was a life counted out, disqualified, given up on, despised. Paul was a stud.
