I love how this verse is worded in The Message. In other translations it says "God wants all men to be saved." But in the message it says "He wants not only us, but everyone to be saved."

Same idea, different emphasis.

I find myself reading things like, "God loves everyone, God wants to save everyone," and I apply it only to me, that it means he loves ME and that he wants to save ME. This just blew up my understanding by really showing me that it's not just about me. It applies to everyone, and how many people out there don't know that?
