The Face-to-Face Meeting
In the social networking world of today, we call people "friends." With very little reserve we grant the friend title to strangers. We extend a level of trust and allow them into our lives with no fore-knowledge of who they are. Solomon warns us to avoid the "evasive eye."
Some business is best served "face-to-face." Don't be quick to do business that allows anonymity. Don't trust an evasive person. If you're not feeling like your getting the whole story - stop - don't go any further into partnership without full transparency and investigation.
God's relationship with people had two levels, some He sent messages in the form of visions and dreams, but with Moses he met "face-to-face" (Exodus 33:11). He spoke on the level of true friendship. The people knew the acts of God, but Moses knew His ways.
