Belief can activate or hinder God's power in our lives
I love this scripture. It has really been a cornerstone scripture in my faith walk. And, not so much because of what it says God can do in our lives -- [God] "is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think". Rather, it's the last part of that scripture that we don't quote or include when we read this scripture -- "...according to the power that works in us".
That's where my faith has come alive, by realizing that God can do wonderfully, amazing things in our lives "according to the power that works in us". As children of God, we have access to incredible power for life change, for victory, for healing, for strength to overcome anything. Earlier in chapter 1, he reminds us again that "the same power that raised Jesus from the dead lives inside of us". That's power! There is "exceeding greatness of His power toward us who believe".
What do you believe?
