Jesus cursed the fig tree because it bore no fruit - even though it was not the season for the fruit. We are called to bear fruit out of due season - radical but possible because with men this is impossible but with God all things are possible. "In the same way Jesus expected fruit out of season from the fig tree, an impossibility, so God requires us to bear fruit from the supernatural realm. He has given us access to that reality through His blood, and the indwelling person of the Holy Spirit. "
