For some reason, I just love these verses. I think it has something to do with the completion of vision. Paul takes on the charge to bring the gospel to the Gentile population in Asia Minor. There are some who disagree and try to change his message, but he keeps on knowing that he has a calling. A calling that is ultimately fulfilled. Basically, these verses state the obvious: Paul did what God called to do and was successful at it.

How about having that said at the end of our lives? "Dan did what God called him to do and was successful at it." A simple sentence, yet it is one full of life and stories just waiting to be unpacked.
