When I read this scripture, I immediately wondered why on earth this would matter. Who cares if a man has sex with his wife? And I'll bet Joseph was pretty upset about this fact too. So why would God want to do something that's so hard? Why would he want to create ANOTHER trial for poor Joseph? Well, at the time, I bet Joseph thought that too. But now, looking back, it's a good thing that they didn't have sex-that would be just another reason for people to say that Jesus wasn't actually the son of God-they could claim that he was Joseph's child.

How I related this to my life is that sometimes things that happen, and quite frankly, they suck. And I wonder why God would make me go through added stress. But sometimes we can't see what God is doing..and maybe in cases like Josephs, we will never see what he is doing. We just need to have faith that God knows whats going on-and loves us more than anything else in creation. Plus, he's already done so much, I think he deserves a little blind faith. :)
