Listed here geographically (verses 6 - 12) are groups of people amazed at hearing speech relayed in their own language. We have here in the USA a melting pot of various cultures with diverse communication styles, syntax, definitions, technology, etc. May our communication transcend their understanding so our life encounters with each individual or group(s) will truly impact them by the message of love and salvation through Jesus. Will we lose our life in the process? Literally in the USA, probably not; or, at least not in the near future. But even still verse 25 assures us that the Lord will be with us, right by our side. Will we lose our life spiritually? I certainly hope so. To lose our life is to gain it when spent for Jesus' sake.
