ALL OF THIS BIBLE PASSAGE WAS JESUS’ WORDS. THERE ARE DIFFERENT PARTS OF THE LORD’S PRAYER. THE FIRST THAT SAYS, “Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven”, IS THE PART OF THE PRAYER THAT YOU HONOR GOD. THE SECOND PART OF THE PRAYER IS THE PART THAT SAYS, “Give us today the food we need, and forgive us our sins ,as we have forgiven those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one” IS THE PART OF THE PRAYER WHERE WE PRESENT OUR NEEDS TO GOD AND ASKS HIM TO GRANT WHAT WE PRAY FOR. BUT GOD WILL PRABABLY NOT ANSWER YOUR PRAYER IF YOU ARE NURSING A GRUDGE AGAINST SOMEONE OR IS UNFORGIVING. “You must really believe it will happen and have no doubt in your heart. I tell you, you can pray for anything, and if you believe that you’ve received it, it will be yours. But when you are praying, first forgive anyone you are holding a grudge against, so that your Father in heaven will forgive your sins, too” MARK 11:23-25. IT’S OK IF THE PRAYER IS KEPT SHORT. JESUS SAID, “When you pray, don’t babble on and on as people of other religions do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again. Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him!” EVEN IF SOME OF YOUR PRAYERS ARE NOT ANSWERED, DON’T LOSE FAITH. THE BIBLE SAYS THAT, “Elijah was as human as we are, and yet when he prayed earnestly that no rain would fall, none fell for three and a half years! Then, when he prayed again, the sky sent down rain and the earth began to yield its crops” JAMES 5:17-18.“Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord. Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven.”
Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results” (JAMES 5:13-16.)
