Besides speaking publicly, death is the greatest fear. What does death mean? Basically it’s when your spirit departs from your body. But in the book of Revelation, the Bible speaks of a second death. The second death is when your spirit which being departed from your corpse, is now separated from God’s presence. Since God dwells in heaven, the second death then takes place in Hell. Hell is a place that, “burns with fire and brimstone.” (Revelation 21:8) NKJV. Brimstone is the same as sulfur, which is on the element table.

Make sure you are OK with God before you pass on. The Catholics believe that before they die, they are to have their priest, their “father” forgive their sins. Can you believe it; men forgiving sins? “Who can forgive sins but God alone?” (Mark 2:7) NKJV. “Only God can forgive sins!” (Mark 2:7). But they are wrong. God wants us to turn to him for forgiveness. “If we confess our sins to [God], he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness.” (1 John 1:9). The Bible is very clear and articulate about what kind of people will not enter the God’s Kingdom. One way to escape hell fire is to avoid being the following:

Living lives of every manner of:
• Wickedness
• Sin
• Greed
• Hate
• Envy
• Murder
• Quarreling
• Deception
• Malicious behavior
• Gossip
They are:
• Backstabbers
• God haters
• Rude
• Proud
• Boastful
• backsliders
• Non-Christians
• Corrupt People
• murderers
• People who sin sexually
• those who practice witchcraft
• idol worshipers
• liars
• male prostitutes
• Homosexuals
• Thieves
• greedy people
• drunkards
• abusive
• cheats

What they do is:
• They invent new ways of sinning
• They disobey their parents.
• They refuse to understand what God says to them
• They make promises but don’t keep them.
• Are cruel
• Showing no mercy
• And Sin knowingly.
• Spur others to sin
- (Romans 1:29-32, Revelation 21:8, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10).

Don’t worry about you Christian friends who are dead. Paul writes:

“We tell you this directly from the Lord: We who are still living when the Lord returns will not meet him ahead of those who have died. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven with a commanding shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trumpet call of God. First, the Christians who have died will rise from their graves. Then, together with them, we who are still alive and remain on the earth will be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. Then we will be with the Lord forever.” (1 Thessalonians 4:15-17).

Remember: God is eager to forgive your sins. His angels throw a party in heaven when a sinner turns to God. God himself says,
“I—yes, I alone—will blot out your sins for my own sake and will never think of them again.” (Isaiah 43:25). Repentance is when you say to God, “I’m sorry for what I’ve done.” If you want to tell God your sorry, pray these words:

“Lord, I repent of all my sins, I ask you now to please forgive me of all my sins, in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.”
