The Transformed Christian
When you are a true Christian, you will live differently than most people. Flip in your bibles to Romans Chapter 12:2.
In other words this verse is saying, don’t copy the evil wicked behavior of the people who aren’t Christians or people who claim to follow Christ but still live like an unsaved sinner.
When you are a Christian you’ll take a stand against: gay people, illicit sex, drugs, peer pressure, etc.
When you are a true Christian, you won’t fit in much. Turn in the bible to Luke 6:26. Now look at verse 22 of the same chapter. The King James Version includes, “…Separate you from their company.” For those of you who have a red letter bible, you can see that Jesus himself spoke this. In other words something is wrong when you are favored and buddy-buddy with everyone. According to James 4:4, friendship with worldly people means that you are an enemy to God.
Don’t make that mistake that many Christians do when they say, ‘we are saved by grace so that gives the right to sin. We can just sin and repent. Sin and repent.’ No that is wrong doctrine and teaching. Yes the bible does say that we are saved through grace, but it still doesn’t give you the right to sin. Go in your bibles to Luke 12:47-48. It says… that tells us that when we know something is a sin but we do it anyway, God will come down hard on you. If you sin without you knowing it’s a sin, then you will still be punished, but lightly. But when we repent God still forgives. God doesn’t even remember your sins (See Isaiah 43:25). When you repent, you stand before God innocent (Isaiah 1:18).
Basically, the Christian suffers, and later on they reign in glory with Jesus. So now that we have talked about the suffering part, we will now talk about the Glory part.
Go to in your bibles these verses:
Luke 22:29-30
2 Timothy 2:11-13
2 Timothy 4:8
John 14:2
Revelation 21:7-8, 18-2
