“This is what the Lord of Heaven’s Armies says: In those days ten men from different nations and languages of the world will clutch at the sleeve of one Jew. And they will say, ‘Please let us walk with you, for we have heard that God is with you’ ” – (Zechariah 8:23).
My love and appreciation for the Jewish people is great. Some of you may ask me, ‘John, how come? They’re only Jesus killers!’ I’ll tell you skeptics why: Because originally, God handpicked them to be “a nation that is holy” (Deuteronomy 26:19). The next question you’d probably ask me is, ‘Why did God do this?’ The answer is easy:

In about 2091 B.C. there was a good man that God loved greatly named Abraham. He was the father of all Jewish people. At that period in time, Abraham was the only one that lived to make God happy. Almost everyone else was immoral. Because of the way Abraham lived, God promised him this:

“I will make you the father of a multitude of nations… and kings will be among them… And I will give the entire land of Canaan (Canaan is modern day Israel), where you now live as a foreigner, to you and your descendants. It will be their possession forever… (Genesis 17:4-8)

If God favors Jews, then who are you to discriminate and poke fun at them? If God says “yes,” why would you say “no?” Be careful who you curse and jeer at! God made another promise, but this time to the nation as a whole:

“The Lord your God will inflict… curses on your enemies and on those who hate and persecute you” (Deuteronomy 30:7).

When God curses people, it’s a very dire condition to be in. Things may happen where you might lose your job, you face problems with your family, etc. Anything could happen. “Everything is possible (for) God” (Mark 10:27). Also keep in mind, Christians wouldn’t be around if God weren’t with the Jews. “Salvation comes through the Jews” (John 4:22).
