I have believed in God and been a Christian for all my life... or so I thought. I was one of those guys that went through the routines of going to church every Sunday and never really grew in my faith. I had all the values and beliefs of Christianity, but I never really put it into practice. Then one day I met a girl that really challenged me to grow. Now you may say that the only reason I started taking a interest was to impress and woo her... I wouldn't blame you for thinking that because that may have been a small part of my reasoning. I think God had a bigger plan though. He really started pulling on my life and I really started growing in my faith. I really want to KNOW Him. I really want to grow. And after 15 or so years of knowing this verse, it now has meaning to me. It is weird and amazing how I have gone from depending on myself to depending on him. I still have a tendency to lean on myself though, and that is why this one of my favorite verses. It really challenges me to trust in him in all that I do. He has a plan for my life, and I need to trust in Him.
