Not very long ago, my children became fatherless. After a short battle with cancer, their dad, my husband, went to be with the Lord.
I used to read Psalm 68 and pray for the widows and their children; now I pray these verses for my children.
The Lord God, Himself becomes a Father to the fatherless. So today if you are reading these words, may your heart be comforted, whether you have lost someone as close as a father, husband, mother, child...know that God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, are all you need. I often pray in those times when I don't know what to do for my children, especially our youngest: " Father, God, You are Father to the fatherless, You love my children more than I do, I pray You will be all they need right now, protect them, O God, as only a father can; You, O, Lord, Who knows all, can do all, be their divine Daddy."
Dear Friend, take comfort in Him, know His peace and love, for our Abba Father knows how to care for His children. Praise His Holy Name!
