For those of you who say, "I'm not being fed."
It seems like I have heard a lot of people saying in reference to preaching they hear or a Sunday worship service, "I'm just not being fed...I'm just not being fed..." In some cases, this may be true where the teacher/preacher may not be rightly exposing the Bible with the appropriate skill, preparation and delivery. However, what are you hungry for? Are you hungry for "great preaching" or for "righteousness"? Are we hungry for being more and more and more like God and reflecting His Image in every way? OR are we more interested in hearing what our ears have been programmed to want to hear? It has been my experience that those who truly hunger for righteousness -- God's righteousness (as if there were any other) -- are well fed... in fact they seem filled. When people become hungry enough for food, they will go to great lengths to be fed. Are you hungry for righteousness? A hunger for good preaching (although certainly not a bad thing), is not the same thing. Tell God that you are hungry for His righteousness and then go looking for the food. If you get hungry enough for it, you will search and question until you find it.
