Encouraging to say the least.
At this time in my life when everything seems to be falling apart this passage just kicked me in the face. I am currently partially laid off from work, my wife can't find work. My company just told me they can't afford to pay for my schooling anymore, and the current state of the nation is constantly on my mind. But, I opened one of my many bibles for the first time today and this was the passage I was supposed to read. I received a chronological reading of the bible list from a friend in 2003 that I read for a few months and stopped because I got "busy". This morning I pulled out The Message and dusted it off, I decided to start where I left off 6 years ago, and this was the passage. I am going to go home tonight and celebrate with my wife for THIS IS THE DAY THAT THE LORD HAS MADE and we are called to REJOICE AND BE GLAD IN IT. May god bless you all.
