For a long time I have wrestled with a few things that I believe that God put in my heart. I believe and know that God has called me to Pastor but for a very long time I have wrestled with my involvement in politics. In America right now religion and politics are two subject that can separate even the closest of friends. Where is a believer to stand on the issues facing our country? Should we speak out? Should we be involved? How much should we say? Was America ever really a Christian nation? Etc.
During worship this past Sunday I heard the Lord speak to me about reading the book of Esther, so I have been going through this great book for the last couple of days. I am loving it. This book is packed with things we as Christians can take to the realm of politics. In it I am finding the the responsibility of the Church in the realm of politics is to stand for what is right, no matter what!! Not for parties or red vs. blue, but for what is right. For Justice, Life, Freedom, etc. I am greatly encouraged by this book and what it can means for country today. Until next time.

Much love,
Shawn
