Just before these verses the writer of Hebrews describes how Jesus was the final sacrifice for all sins and that we can all now draw near to Him on a personal level in light of this amazing news. He then says to consider how we can encourage one another towards love, do great things and not to neglect to meet together to anticipate what will happen. It’s like he is saying, think about it we have a new reason to love to do good deeds and to meet together. Jesus came to this earth, gave His life; He finished the work of our sins on the cross and provided a way for each individual to draw near to Him like never before and we get to meet together to celebrate this! It’s the complete gospel message and here we have instructions on what to do about it.
