You were created for more than a job. Man was created for Vocation. A vocation means a divine calling. The term “work” means a specific task, duty, function, or assignment often being a part or phase of some larger activity. You are called to be a part of God’s activity on earth. Your life is more than a task - it’s an assignment.

The vocation of man is to cultivate. Just as God worked Creation, we are to work creation. Just as God cultivated out of Himself - Man - for He said, “Let us make man in our image”, we are to cultivate out of ourselves what ultimately “reflects” who we are and what we are made of, therefore, extending our mark upon the earth. Your work is a reflection of what you are called to do. That is why “whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all of your might” . This calling moves you beyond mediocrity - it calls to you toward excellence.
