Okay… Is desiring to be more effective for the kingdom something we crave? Is being more knowledgeable in Christ something we long for daily? I believe all of us would have to say very loudly…..YES!!
As I was reading these verses today, I was quite frankly whacked upside the head. Believe it or not, this needs to be done more often. I am so thankful to my Heavenly Father that He is gentle as he does the whacking. Wow, does verse 8 speaks so simply? It is such a blueprint on how to live and how to accomplish what we want to be in Christ.
I want to certainly possess these qualities….goodness, knowledge, self control, perservance, godliness, brotherly kindness and love! I pray I will not only possess them but with increasing measure!
