Morning Prayer
To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
This is one of the verses I pray over myself everyday. That God will anoint me with His oil of joy, and not just a sprinkle, but freely pour out His oil. I thank Him for giving me beauty for ashes, turning my mess into my message and my test into my testimony. I also thank Him for the garment of praise and that I would be engulfed in it daily! And finally I praise Him for making me like a well planted tree, that is an awesome promise! A tree of righteousness, not of my own account, but of His that He may be glorified, Hallelujah! Remember it is so important to speak, pray and sing the word back to Him, Ephesians 6:17-18 says, "17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; 18 praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—"
He says that the Bible is our only defensive weapon and the way to use it is to say it back to Him!! Awesome!!
