I can't remember all of the "big kid" things I proclaimed to everyone about myself, but I am sure that they all sounded ridiculous. It always amusing to see someone that is weak, small, and defenseless try to make others believe that they can make their own decisions and do everything without others helping them. All 4 of my children do this at some time or another and all I can do is respond with the phrase we all learned from OUR parents- "You'll understand when you are older...". (That phrase still makes me cringe, even when it's me saying it.)
