This entire Psalm as a whole really spoke to me as a reminder of God's faithfulness. Oftentimes it's hard for me to grasp the fact that the same God who went to such great lengths to keep his word with Abraham is the same God who daily deals with my unfaithfulness. He will still go to great lengths to keep his word with me, and to safeguard all the promises he has given me in the Bible.
v. 42-45 : God did all of this to bring his people closer, "that they might keep his precepts and observe his laws." It shows God's desire for us to follow his law and obey him, and it shows that he actively does things to bring us back to him and want to follow him.
