Proverbs 8:1-4 ASV, Proverbs 8:7 ASV, Proverbs 8:10 ASV, Proverbs 8:12 ASV, Proverbs 8:19-31 ASV and Proverbs 8:34 ASV

vs.1 - "Does not wisdom cry" It is interesting to note, that the beginning of the verse refers to wisdom crying, but the end of the passage refers to wisdom trying to be found. So hence we have a screaming voice that is as verse 2 says in the certain places screaming and yet cannot be found of men.

vs.2-3 " 2 On the heights along the way, where the paths meet, she takes her stand; (3) beside the gates leading into the city, at the entrances, she cries aloud:
These verses would signify that there are specific places where wisdom cries, and when we look at the places mentioned heights along the way where the paths meet would signify a place of journey or a place of decision. This is a place where one may travel to a new destination (paths meeting may speak of a place of decision). The gates of the city refer to a place where a person is about to enter an area of culture or society. Before a person decides on how they will interact with society, they need to seek wisdom.

vs.4 - The call of wisdom goes out to all mankind, hence wisdom is not specific to a culture or sect of religious people (Solomon in the building of the temple used foreigners whom God had instructed through Wisdom). Three Wise men were pagans and not Jews. Hence it could be said the common language for preaching to sinners concerning scripture is wisdom (NT. Paul reasoned with the Pharisees).

vs.7 - "My mouth speaks what is true, for my lips detest wickedness." There is a form of morality that is found in wisdom, and hence wicked men cannot be deemed wise.
vs.10 - Continues on the thought of morality, and instructs one not to allow themselves to be bribed by silver or gold (riches). Unwavering morality keeps wise men from doing foolish things.

vs.12 - " 12 I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions."
Wikipedia - Prudence is the exercise of sound judgment in practical affairs. It is classically considered to be a virtue. A Wise person must be defined by one whom possesses prudence. Unless this is possessed by a person. This is the biblical interpretation that a proper lifestyle of the ability to make good decisions must accompany a persons life for them to be deemed as wise, and not simply Write or say wise things (confusious).

vs.17 - "I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me." This verse may suggest that when one has been a fool all of their life, it is harder in their latter years for them to find God.

vs,18-19 Speaks of riches and gold, and would almost infer that if one if not seeking Gold and Silver but rather wisdom, then they will find Gold and Silver. This would be the thought of running down your shadow (B.Marley).

vs.19-31 Wisdom was used in the creation of the earth, and hence if you desire to live or operate within it, you need to get a hold of wisdom.

vs.34 = "Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors." This would refer to a dweller who was seeking entrance or refuge in a city. Such is wisdom that we must seek to enter it's gates. Sad to contemplate that many young people seek to enter high levels of learning, but never seek wisdom. The school system in our day and hour has separated the prudent (those who have accomplished through practice) from those who speak of the wisdom.
