Jeremiah 2:2-3 MSG

God loves it when we go with him through the wilderness. Just like how the Spirit led Jesus to the wilderness to demolish the enemy there. When God sees how daring and excited we are to go with Him through the wilderness as a youth (anyone in Christ is always a new creation, daily), He delights in us. Only in the wilderness is the enemy defeated. Jeremiah says no one wants to travel through the wilderness, a place that had not been planted to anything. With human eyes, it doesn't seem profitable and proper. No one "in his right mind" would opt for that route, like how the majority always rejects the narrow door and always takes broad doors and highways. In God's eyes crossing the wilderness with Him is the only place to be.

Only the radical would dare go out with God to the wilderness and actually enjoy it. The rest just settle for the usual, traditional, denominational, ways of man that make them remain in Egypt, the land of slavery.
