I love the mentality of grace that is so clear in his writings (contrary to the misinterpretations that predominate in the minds of many of his readers).

He understands the process of progressive sanctification. Knowing God isn't the result of an altar call or a moment of transformation. It happens as we learn to daily lay our lives at his feet.
