When God chooses his leaders, we do best to not interfere! Reading through the 1 and 2 Kings, it becomes clear that God has a plan. It is not always an easy path and often we make it more difficult on ourselves when we turn our backs on Him, but yet His will is done. As I serve on a search team to find out next Lead Pastor, I pray that our eyes would be open to seeing the man of God's own choosing. He may not be the person we had in mind and he may not act or look like the person we had in mind - but if he is anointed by God - we'd be wise to recognize that and accept him!

I hope that not just our search team but that in churches all across the country, that the future leaders of those churches would be anointed by God and recognized. The more we fight it, the more painful the process will be when God moves to place them in charge!
