Being a Mentor
READ: "In everything set them asn example by doing what is good. In your teaching show integrity, seriousness and soundness of speech...."
REFLECT: This is a tall order - "in everything". It can't be done - by me or anyone else. We goof. We fail often at trying to be the person God wants us to be. But, with God's help, we will be the best we can be. I've taken on new roles and many extra responsibilities this summer. I'll need to give up some others. I need to refocus on family. And I'll need help in doing so.
RESPONSE: Father, guide me as I venture into a new role as mentor. And help me in my current roles as husband, father, son, and brother. AMEN
