John 17: 1-5 Jesus has fulfilled His purpose and has glorified His father in every way. He didn't give up, He didn't balk at what needed to be said or done, He didn't back away from pain or humiliation, He didn't just do a half way life. He fully loved, He fully embraced everything God gave Him, He fully did everything His father asked of Him, He fully praised and glorified God even in the face of a horrific death and separation from God. Fully understood that only through God His father could He gain His true spirit, His ultimate eternal joy; the joy of His father. (v. 5) (Further into John (17:13) it talks about full joy in glorifying God by following Jesus example.) Be aware of God, aware of our purpose every minute of every day.
