Obviously, the Galatian church was getting away from their saved by Grace thinking and getting back into Jewish legalism, trying to earn their salvation through works.

Paul pointed out to them the many acts of faith of others, and that following the law was fruitless. The law was given as a guide to lead us to faith in Jesus.

He showed time after time that Christ came to bring us freedom from the law and that by Grace are we saved through faith in Jesus Christ. There is no other way to be saved and free from our sins other than faith in Jesus.
