Are We Ready?
Matthew 8:20 Jesus was curt: “Are you ready to rough it? We’re not staying in the best inns, you know.”--The Message
Jesus was very frank a good amount of the time and I love what The Message says about this verse. Jesus says to the man in escence, "Do you think this is going to be easy?" and i ask the question, Do you think this is going to be easy? Are we as the church prepared to relinquish our "right" to comfort and follow Jesus with intensity regardless of the cost? Jesus wants EVERYTHING! We must stop holding back and get ready to "rough it" if/when necessary!
