The enemy is covered with armor and seemingly impenetrable. He is loud, arrogant, and unyielding. He comes, in this instance twice a day, to mock and jeer us.

Attributes of our enemy:
- He is a giant in the spirit realm
- Well guarded
- Covered completely in armor
- Appears intimidating and well-equipped to defeat
- Enemy sends minions ahead of him (shield bearer)

Through this chapter, we see David call out to God/Jehovah of the armies of Israel. In our intercession against this enemy, we cry out to God to come as our salvation in battle.

Interesting to note David has no armor whatsoever and even has to go and pull Goliath's sword to take his head. So much in this story.
