Paul starts out showing why the law was set up and how each of us were in bondage while under it. But the good news is when Jesus came, He set us free from that bondage and made us heirs of God through Jesus Christ.

The problem in this case being the Galatian church was saved through faith in Christ, but now they were trying to do things that would put them back in bondage. False teachers had come in among them and were trying to take away the freedom in Christ they had accepted.

So with us today, we can easily fall into false teaching if we don't keep alert, keep reading the Bible and praying daily. There are so many 'voices' out there that would lead us astray and back into bondage if we so let them.

We have been bought with a price, the blood of Jesus. We are now free from the law, free from sin and death. We are joint heirs with Christ, sons of God. Let us keep that thought forefront in our thinking and not let ourselves get tricked back into bondage.
