Foundational Precept: Matthew 6:6

“When you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you. 7 And when you pray, do not keep on babbling like pagans, for they think they will be heard because of their many words.”

Matthew 10:26

“There is nothing concealed that will not be disclosed, or hidden that will not be made known.”

Principle: What you do in secret is what moves you in public. Outward momentum is revealed by inward motivations.

Practice: Matthew 9:27

As Jesus went on from there, two blind men followed him, calling out, "Have mercy on us, Son of David!"
When he had gone indoors, the blind men came to him, and he asked them, "Do you believe that I am able to do this?"
       "Yes, Lord," they replied.
Then he touched their eyes and said, "According to your faith will it be done to you" and their sight was restored. Jesus warned them sternly, "See that no one knows about this." But they went out and spread the news about him all over that region.

Principle: Hours with God makes minutes with men effective.

Precept: Judges 6:11

“The angel of the LORD came and sat down under the oak in Ophrah that belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, where his son Gideon was threshing wheat in a winepress to keep it from the Midianites. 12 When the angel of the LORD appeared to Gideon, he said, "The LORD is with you, mighty warrior."

Principle: Opposition may drive you into isolation, but God will discover you in obscurity.

Do you see a man skilled in his work? He will serve before kings; he will not serve before obscure men. Proverbs 22:29

In obscurity, God’s presence is more intimate.
In obscurity, God’s voice is more personal.
In obscurity, God calls you by your gift, “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.”
In obscurity, revelation comes to you for your next move into public.

Gideon said, “My clan is the weakest in Manasseh, and I am the least in my family."

Obscurity reveals the limitations of our loved ones. Some people rely on their loved ones to make them.
Obscurity reveals our deep need for God.
Obscurity conquers our fears of isolation.

Precept: Ephesians 6:7

Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord, not men, because you know that the Lord will reward everyone for whatever good he does, whether he is slave or free.

Secrecy is the KEY to momentum.
Serve at the highest level.
Promotion comes from the Lord (Psalm 75:6)
Philippians 2:5-11 - Inverted Promotion

Principle: The Closet Principle - you draw out the greatest gift that you have deep within you.

1 Corinthians 2:11

The Spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who among men knows the thoughts of a man except the man's spirit within him? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.

You do not decide your gift, you discover it.
You will never discover your destiny until you focus on the Closet Principle.
Focus on your daily disciplines to develop a HABIT of seeking His Wisdom.
Praying in the Holy Spirit is EXPRESSING THE THOUGHTS OF GOD.
