As a good son i would get disciplined by my good father. Although I didn't understand why he would discipline me in that matter I realized that he was teaching me a lesson. Every discipline that my earthly father gave me, you better bet I learned something from it. So it gets me thinking, "what have i learned from my heavenly fathers discipline?" or "Am i even getting disciplined?" the latter verse goes on to say that his true children get disciplined by THE father.
