"These are hidden reefs at your love feasts, as they feast with you without fear," - these guys should be fearful because their nearness to the church is a nearness to the God whom they are offending, and who has both authority and ability to destroy them eternally.

"shepherds feeding themselves;" - They are selfish, claiming the mantle of leadership and care but only looking out for themselves.

"waterless clouds, swept along by winds;" - again, they feign nourishment but have nothing real to offer to the dry land.

"fruitless trees in late autumn, twice dead, uprooted;" - These guys bear no fruit because they have no roots. The will soon come crashing down.

"wild waves of the sea, casting up the foam of their own shame;" - after they rush in and out, only the foam of shame is left on the shore. Regardless of their seeming power now, they will soon be gone, leaving nothing good behind.

"wandering stars, for whom the gloom of utter darkness has been reserved forever." - their end is terrible.
