As the Israelites stepped out being led by Moses the situation did not look good.... they were being chased by an army behind and had a blockage in front of them. They couldn't go back and they couldn't go forward. They must have thought, "Great, God has brought us this far and we are all going to die or be overcome by our circumstance!"

The people wanted to go back to their comfort zone, to what they knew, even if they knew it would bring pain.
Moses said in chapter 14:13a-14 "Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the LORD will bring you today. 14 The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still."
That reminds me of Psalm 46:10- "Be still, and know that I am God"

In order to proceed forward, the blockage had to be removed for them to walk through on dry land. Even as they began walking through their miracle they would have been sacred, unsure and even still doubting; "is this water going to fall and crush me at any second?!"

Its only when they stepped out that they were able to step in and receive what God had for them. Only after they had exited were they able to enter and eventually posses Gods promises and the promised land.

I believe this is what God is saying; that there may appear to be blockages in the progress and even life threatening (so to speak); as we look around at the circumstances of a huge debt and the uncertainties of contracts and relationships.

It is scary to be surrounded by unknowns and things that may change in a second. The Lord reassured Moses a number of times that He was with him and so He is with us. We have had conformation through some prophecies, divine appointments and relationships and extraordinarily insane generosity.

The hand of the Lord has been working to bring us up to this point so far, so I can say that the Lord was with Moses and protecting his forward movements and guiding him with a pillar of smoke,...... so also the Lord is guarding our 'rears' with his pillar of fire! AMEN
