Matthew 6:21-24 NIV84

[Matthew 6:21-24]
21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
22 “The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are good, your whole body will be full of light.
23 But if your eyes are bad, your whole body will be full of darkness. If then the light within you is darkness, how great is that darkness!
24 “No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and Money.

Those verses above this paragraph really impressed me, and I would like to share the meanings of those verses.

When your wife really need to get more foods to be able to feed the family. She usually have a list of all foods that she or he is required to buy from the grocery store. She told the family that she is going to the grocery store and will come back home later this afternoon. When she arrived at the grocery store, she has the cart and the list that she is required to buy for the family. Once she started to pick the foods and mark each foods on her list. [Of course, we do know that we are expected to buy limited foods depend on our money.] When the wife marked all foods on the list, she started to feel tempted and decided to buy more foods that she WANTED to eat which isn't for her family. She wanted it for herself, such as chocolate bar, ice cream, french fries, etc. Her eyes are everywhere from left side and right side of aisles like she cannot focus on her list. She just picked out everything and packed into her cart. After the shopping, she brought many foods that weren't on the list. What will happened to her husband?

Obviously, her husband probably got upset and told her that those foods are a WASTE and NOT NECESSARY. He also probably told her to buy those foods that are only on the list, not for herself, but for the family.

On the verses 21-23 explained so clearly that the wife had her eyes everywhere and want everything for herself which put herself in darkness and forgot her family and the finance.
"The eye is the lamp of the body." If she remembered herself not to buy other foods that wasn't necessary. She will have the path clearly with light from her body which her husband won't get upset. If she did something opposed, her husband will be upset.

Same thing with our relationship with God, if my mind is not focus on Bible like the shopping list. I will be found in darkness where Jehovah, our Almighty God, will be upset. If I keep my mind stronger and stay with my faith in God, and I do everything what the Bible told (brought foods what is listed on the shopping list) will make God happy. My eyes will find the light and understand God better if I rejected other things that aren't related to the Bible.

Today, many people served two masters... I am not lying, but it is very sad to see them doing this. They do what the bible told, and then do more things that are sinful.

My father, Jehovah, encourages everyone to rely on HIM, and everyone's eyes must keep their minds clear and follow the Bible. Those will pleasure HIM and love HIM more than what you expected.
