2 lies we believe in the Church:
1. My sin is my sin and it only effects me.
The crap that comes out of us will shut down the move of God is in my life.
2. You have no right to talk to me about my sin.
We are called to hold other Christians accountable. Tough conversations.
If we don't need Church why did Jesus die for her?
3 steps to having tough conversations:
a. Interpret my motives Matt. 7:1
Alot of Christians are basing their theology on an incomplete verse.
4 c's- Do I want to catch them to accuse them? Satan means accuser.
Am I trying to control them?
Am I trying to crush them?
Do I want to cover them?
The only difference between a Christian and a non-Christian is JESUS!
Investigate my heart. Plank, Speck
Use the Word of God as a mirror to take the plank out of my eye. Not as binoculars.
Ignore the pigs and dogs. Matt. 7:6 Dogs are religious people who are more concerned with themselves.
