Mark 6:48 NASB and Mark 6:52 NASB
So the disciples witness yet another miracle-- Jesus feeding over five-thousand people with five loaves and two fishes--and they go out to sail to the next town. But Jesus says that they should go ahead of them and he'll meet them at the town. So Jesus goes to a mountain to pray, and he sees the disciples struggling in a storm. So Jesus goes out and walks on water "and He intended to pass by them" (Mark 6:48). What? Why would he do that? Remember Jesus feeding over five-thousand people? Well, the disciples didn't, they were afraid, they didn't even recognize Jesus they were so scared! So Jesus comes on board the boat and stops the storm.Even though the disciples of the Son of God saw a huge miracle that day, they missed the point "for they had not gained any insight from the incident of the loaves, but their heart was hardened" (Mark 6:52).
